In the process of accelerating cooling control after rolling of the medium heavyplate, the rate of cooling and the return temperature are very important craft parameters,which are direct impacts on plate strength weldability and plasticity. However, because ofthe factors of indefinite and delaying control, it is difficult to effectively control justdepending on the operators’ experience. Especially when the operating mode changes, theplate is uneven cooling and buckling,results in product quality descending, and increaseconsumption. In view of the above problems, this paper includes the work as follows:1、It has determined the cooling strategy in different directions and the structure ofcontrolling system in the accelerated cooling process of the medium heavy plate. And ithas done the design of the control model in the accelerated cooling process and parametersetting, according to the goal of cooling rate and return temperature required by the fieldprocess.2、Based on the fundamental theory of metal solidification and heat-transfer, itestablishes and solves the mathematical model of temperature field. And it solves themodel of temperature field by the way of pursue, with choosing the actual heat-transfercoefficient and parameter values.3、It has developed the software system, which can realize the control model in theaccelerated cooling process of the medium heavy plate, using use-case driven analysismethods.4、According to the environment of actual production,it has set up an outsidesimulator,which can test the accelerated cooling process-control of the medium heavyplate. It has done a simulation of the accelerated cooling process-control, with thesimulator, to test and verify the reliability and accuracy of the system in the actualproduction environment through the comparison of the test results and the actual results.Test results show that the system has the operability, and it’s running stability is good,can be used in the field practice.
