Research Of Land Ecological Security Evaluation At County Level

With the advance of urbanization and industrialization, the land ecosystem of China suffered serious damage, and the land ecological security issues have got more and more attention. However, there are still many people have not realized the severity of the situation, especially in the western region where ecological problems, such as soil and water loss and decline of land quality caused by disorderly development, are much more serious. In this article, the land ecological security evaluation system for the Sichuan Danling based on the subsystem of "natural-economic-social" has been established, and then the land ecological security value of Danling between2001and2010has been evaluated and graded. Furthermore, the land ecosystem harmonious relations of Danling in different years have been analyzed, and the land ecological security of the urban area of Meishan and the counties under the jurisdiction of Meishan (Dongpo, Renshou, Pengshan, Hongya, Danling, Qingshen) have been evaluated. The land ecological security value in Meishan on different time scale was also analyzed. At last, the land ecological security evaluation results of all counties in Meishan have been classified based on cluster analysis.Our results suggested that the land ecological security value of Danling was improving gradually. A typical example was in2009, the land ecological security value of Danling had won the second place in all areas of Meishan. However, we must realize that the land ecological security level of Danling was mainly in the sensitive level, except in2008and2009. The regional land ecological system coordination degree decreased obviously, especially between2007and2010. In2007-2010, the system showed an uncoordinated pattern. The coordination degree in2007-2010was0.5874,0.5778,0.5908and0.5356,respectively. Meanwhile, our results showed that the land ecological security value of Danling was in the middle and lower level. Finally, we found that the land ecological security value of Danling was similar (the degree of polymerization is0.901) with Renshou based on the cluster analysis. Based on all our results and combined with the conversion status of main land use type in Danling, this study further proposed countermeasures and suggestions in promoting the sustainable land use of Danling land on the aspects of ecological zoning, ecological compensation, industrial restructuring and the regional collaborative development. Detailed suggestions are as following: Optimize the land use structure; improve the land quality generally and authorize the land ecological function zoning; achieve coordinated development of urban and rural area; increase the land ecological protection funding; establish the ecological compensation system; promote effective and intensive use of land and cross-county development through industrial transformation andthe strengthened cooperation with surrounding counties.
