In order to select the appropriate fixed type of ecological floating island which will be applied on Liaohe River later, simulation test was carried out at Shenyang Agricultural University experiment pool by designing different height wave impacting the island. Based on the island’s stabilization, alternative offer can be summed up to construct real floating island in river. This paper selected Spiked Loosestrlfe, Pratia nummularia, Iris tectorum, Hosta ventricosa (Salisb.) four aquatic plants as the alternate plants for floating islang, and selected Spiked Loosestrlfe and Iris tectorum as the ideal plants according to the experiment of wastewater irrigation test for one month. And the wintering experiment indicated that the carrier material and the type of plants which have been selected if this study can adapt to the extreme low temperature of the Northeast region.Results of the velocity simulation experiments show that the stability of floating island with different fixation methods has significant difference under different velocity of flow. View from longitudinal displacement, the stability of staking floating island is most stable, the following one is cableway, and the sinker is worse. View from lateral displacement, the stability of cableway floating island is better than taking, the staking is better than sinker, the sinker is worse; View from vertical floating displacement, the stability of three types of floating island has no significant difference. View from three index integrity the stability of cableway and staking floating island is better, the sinker is worse. Consequently, this paper selected cableway and staking floating island as the test types in actual construction in Liao river, than selected the best fixation types to guide large-scale construction. Results of the wave height simulation experiments show that judging from some moving index, the stability of staking-floating island is best, cableway-floating island second, and sinker-floating island worst. This conclusion was drown by method of variance analysis, multiple comparison and average values comparison. While selecting other evaluation indicators such as rope tension and sinker displacement, cableway-floating island showed best characteristics of stability, and sinker-floating island seemed much weaker. Synthesizes all of the analysis results, staking and cableway pattern were recommended in this research. This two pattern test section would be put into operation on Liaohe River in subsequent research plans, through which the best pattern be selected, guiding large-scale construction. Results of comprehensive simulation experiments show that the stability of floating island with different fixation methods under different velocity and wave height have significant difference, the stability of different floating island from good to worse as follows:cableway, staking and sinking floating island.Considering the stability of floating island with different fixation methods under different simulation conditions and the experimental results of single factors, this paper selected cableway and staking floating island as the modes for the demonstrational construction in Liao river, then select the best stable floating island for the popularization and application in large-scale base on the experimental result, the difficulty of construction and investment in field test in future.
