The mould oscillation technique is the key technology of continuous casting toindustrial applications. The emergence of non-sinusoidal vibration technology andhydraulic vibration device is improving the ability to adjust the waveform and parameters,which can lay the foundation for the development of reasonable vibration mode. Stainlesssteels have a wide use in the national economy. With the very different characteristicsfrom carbon steels, the slab surface of stainless steels is prone to deep oscillation markswhich are difficult to remove. In order to improve the quality of slab surface, somereasonable oscillation synchronization control models need to be developed. A lot ofstudies are being done by previous for the theory of synchronization control model, butfewer for the development of model for specific kinds of steelOn the basis of characteristics of steel grades, the stainless steels were divided intoaustenitic stainless steels and ferritic stainless steels. The mold oscillation processparameters for austenitic stainless steels and ferritic stainless steels were determined byanalyzing the respective continuous casting characteristics. A non-sinusoidal vibrationwaveform was derived in detail, and then the analytic formulas of process parameters wereobtained. The construction method of the vc-h synchronization control mode and the vc-fsynchronization control mode were studied, and then the synchronization control modes ofaustenitic stainless steels and ferritic stainless steels were constructed.By analyzing the characteristics of the inverse oscillation synchronization controlmodel, the correspondence between casting speed and the basic oscillation parameters wasestablished, and then the construction method of this model was proposed. The sine andnon-sinusoidal inverse oscillation synchronization control models of stainless steels weregiven, which can get the optimal processing parameters of stainless steels in a wide rangeof speed. Then the user interfaces of the inverse oscillation synchronization controlmodels were designed by using the software Visual Basic.After building the synchronization control models, the ranges of oscillation basicparameters in main casting speed were determined. Then the oscillation parameters wereoptimized by using variable parameter method which based on MATLAB. This optimization gives certain reference for individually adjusting the parameters of the maincasting speed in the actual production.
