As a kind of precision rolling function units, in the process of working, the propertiesof roller guideway will affect the machining accuracy of machine tools, however, theexisting metal linear motion roller guideway has sever disadvantages, such as noise,vibrations, sensitivity to temperature and precision problems of short service life, etc.This paper research and design a kind of hybrid ceramic linear motion roller guideway,which not only inherits prime advantages of the metal guideway but also make up for itsdeficiencies. Therefore, research hybrid ceramic linear motion roller guideway forimprove and expand the performance of its in order to improve the machining accuracyof the machine tools has very vital significance.This paper design the structure of hybrid ceramic linear motion roller guideway’s, dosome modified for the crowned of roller and determine the dimensional parameters ofroller. Compared some property parameters of kinds of engineering ceramics withbearing steel and determined the material of roller and retainers. Choose the preload wayand analysis the reasons of affect the rated life of linear motion roller guideway’s.According to the theoretical of deformation calculation of T-L Horng etc, calculatethe vertical elastic deformation of slider’s and make a compared to the result of the finiteelement solution. The factors of affect the load ability and stress distribution are analyzed.Based on the design idea of equal strength, the parameters of crown are optimized anddetermine the best convex metric and generatrix equation was established. APDL is usedto create a parametric mode of linear motion rolling guideway and solution process, takethe inner diameter as design variables; the structure of roller was optimized on thecondition of weight loss. Studying the dynamic model of hybrid ceramics linear motionrolling guideway, calculate the five order nature frequency and do the modal analysis withANSYS. In the different condition, calculated damping ratio of linear rolling guideway, then the harmonic response analysis was carried. At last, analysis dynamic characteristicof hybrid ceramics linear motion rolling guideway by the way of compared.
