With the rapid development of computer technology, GIS technology has alsobeen rapidly progress and building of three-dimensional GIS application system hasgradually become an important development direction of GIS. Currently,three-dimensional GIS application system is mainly divided into two types: C/Smode and B/S mode. Three-dimensional GIS C/S model is the three-dimensionalscene on geospatial modeling, texturing and rendering. Although, the model isbeautiful in this way, but the larger model is not conducive to update and maintain;The B/S mode of three-dimensional GIS can be achieved mainly in the form ofplug-ins on the client’s browser, but because of these plug-ins on the low market share,which makes it impossible to be promoted and some plug-ins cannot be compatiblewith multi-browser and cross-disadvantages platform. On the basis of this situationpromotion of B/S structure of the three-dimensional GIS popularity has been greatlyrestricted.To Solve the above problems, the paper is used RIA (Rich Internet Applications)technology, taken site traffic data as sample, designed the three-dimensionalvisualization system which ranges between C/S mode and B/S mode, implementedsite traffic data displayed in three-dimensional visualization system, studied andrealized its implementation, and the final test. RIA technology combines theadvantages of desktop applications and network technology. As Rich InternetApplication, it provides rich data model and rich interface elements in order to bring abetter user experience. Flex is one of the rich client technologies, with perfectdevelopment framework, rich user experience and good cross-platform browsercompatibility, etc., so rich client applications becomes the first choice to solve aboveproblems.Based on RIA technology, the paper uses Flex as a development environment,firstly analyzes the current situation of research3D visualization and the advantagesof Flex which is as a rich client-side applications to solve current problems; Secondly,the paper studied key technologies RIA in detail, including the Flex technology, thekey server technologies, the key client technologies and spatial data processing.Improved and optimized the existing technologies, successfully applied to thedeveloped system in this paper. Again, the article on the network visualizationtechniques have been studied mainly to introduce the method of three-dimensional graphic processing, Action Script, PaperVision3D three-dimensional structure andengine integration with Flex method and site traffic data. For example, the studied ofthe map symbol library for making dynamic and dynamic symbol successfully addedto the three-dimensional scene to go. Finally, the article based on RIA traffic site datavisualization system was designed and tested. System design includes functionaldesign, system architecture design and system interface design.3D visualizationsystem implementations including site traffic visualization, which is the site passengerin the form of the map data loaded into a dynamic three-dimensional scene symbol.Three-dimensional scene also includes interactive maps loaded three-dimensionalscene, whiles the development of the system of environmental and performance tests,and test results are given.Through the above research and experimentation, and demonstrates thefeasibility of the site based on passenger flow visualization of RIA implementation forthree-dimensional visualization; The paper take the subway stations to passenger dataof Xicheng District, in Beijing for example, with the systematic analysis of therelationship between traffic data and time, location, and provide a scientific basis fordecision-making subway management, and provide reference to researchers who usethis technique.
