Through the analysis of the visual representation of the social network.we found that the current social network visualization had two problems:First, most of the visual representation of social network was based on two-dimensional network graphics, but the layout of visual interface and interaction effect were not very ideal; second, the visual content was just about the relationship between people, so the content was not rich.This paper researched the three-dimensional visual representation of the three key objects of the social network:people, institution, event and the relationship among them. In the Flex platform, we built a three-dimensional visualization application system on social network by using Pv3D and ActionScript3.0 language. Specific study contents were as follows:(1) Study how to represent the data about object, relationship, attribute in the social network by using nodes, line elements in the three-dimensional graphics.(2) Study the visual representation of three-dimensional graphical interface, such as the Manifestation of node and line in the three-dimensional graphical interface (including node and line's color, position and shape, etc.).(3) Study how to enhance the user's cognition degree about social network by controling the three-dimensional scene, such as search function, interaction function (such as zoom, drag, rotate, etc.), data panel.(4) Study how to represent the relationship between people and event in the social network visually from the time dimension(5) Study the layout optimization of the three-dimensional graphics which makes the nodes and lines distribute reasonably in the three-dimensional sceneIn this experimental system, we solved the layout of visual interface and interaction effect problem in the two-dimensional network graphics by studying how to represent subject and their relationship using node and line in the three-dimensional scene, scene control, the layout optimization of three-dimensional network graphics; we enriched the visual representation content of the social network by studying the visual representation of people, institution, people time, event.
