Fangzheng Fault Depression is one of the internal structure of the eastern section ofthe northern TanLu faults’ branch in Yishu Graben. It’s controlled by the boundary faultsof continental rift basin. The tectonic evolution of North Tan-Lu fault is complex,especially existing controversy since Cenozoic in tectonic evolution. Fangzheng FaultDepression is one of the major oil and gas exploration potential of the area located in theperiphery of Daqing Oilfield, with no major breakthrough in oil exploration over theyears. By determining Fangzheng Fault Depression’s tectonic evolution,it can provide abasis for understanding the tectonic evolution of the eastern region of China’s overallCenozoic, and provide guiding significance peripheral Songliao Basin oil exploration.This paper studies the structural interpretation of seismic data in Fangzheng FaultDepression,and completes dividing the stratigraphic framework of the area, andsummarizes the geological features and the geometric characteristics of major seismicreflection layer in Fangzheng Fault Depression. By using seismic stratigraphy, seismicinterpretation techniques and other geological means,it compeltes tectonic patternrecognition.By analyzing the characteristics and evolution of the main faults, it completesa research of each area’s tectonic features deformation and fracture process. By analysingthe tectonic evolution, it studies the development of different tectonic evolution time ofthe basin, and summarizes the evolution characteristics of the basin.It can be summarized that the sedimentary strata of Fangzheng Fault Depressioncould be divided into Cretaceous, Xin’an cun+Wuyun Group, Dalianhe Group,Baoquanling Group, Fujin Group,Chuandishan Group and Quaternary. The structuralstyles are formed by sliping, stretching and squeezing forces. Fangzheng FaultDepression’s structural layers are divided into four parts, the first Cretaceous structural layer, Xin’an cun+Wuyun and Dalianhe Formation is the second structural layer,Baoquanling group’s time is the third structural layer and the fourth structural layer is inNeogene time.Fangzheng Fault Depression region is single off style rift basin affected bythe western boundary fault before the Neogene.During the Neogene, Yi Hantong Faultbroke through the basin and produce large strike-slip,and controlling the strike-slip basinformation.
