Miquan—Dalongkou structure belt is an important part of Bogda Mountain belt whose tectonic features is complicated on account of the superimposition and modification of the tectonic movements in different periods. In recent years, the Sinopec did a lot of work in southeastern margin of Junggar Basin, and have achieved many breakthroughs. However, though many geologists did much research in Bogda Mountain area, there exists restriction of academic research and exploration process in the area because of the complicated structure and the lack of seismic and logging data.On the basis of previous studies and the seismic and logging data acquired in the study area, this paper using seismic interpretation and gravity, magnetic and electric integrated techniques to identify fault types and its combination, and analyze the structural style and the evolution in Miquan—Dalongkou area.Based on the studies above, some conclusions has been reached as follows:(1)Bogda Mountain has experienced various stages of tectonic movements such as Hercynian,Indosinian,Yanshanian and Himalayan movements.(2)There exist successive stratigraphic units deposited from Carboniferous to Neogene in Miquan—Malongkou area and the source rocks of tremendous exploration potential developed in Permian sediments.(3)Miquan—Dalomgkou area mainly develops strike-slip,compression and tensional faults. The compression faults fall into 3 types: high angle thrust fault, low angle overthrust fault and recoil fault.(4)The structural styles in the study and adjacent areas mainly are Basement-involved and Capping-sliding,and the overall regional structure is characterized by east-west segmented,north-south zoned and vertically stratified.(5)The formation mechanisms of the traps in the study and adjacent areas fall into two main categories: structural traps and non-structural traps. The most important category is anticline trap which has larger area and is the focus of hydrocarbon exploration.
