Study On Proection And Management Of Ground Water For Drinking Water Soure In Hohhot

Drinking water safety is related to the public health, to ensure the safety of drinking water is one of the greatest events of the realization of the human and the nature harmonious and comprehensive, balanced and sustainable development of economy and society. As the capital city, Hohhot is the center of the political, economic and cultural in the Inner Mongolia, but the over-exploitation of groundwater resources is serious for long time,the water shortages、and sewage of the heavily polluting enterprises has seriously polluted the underwater.These studies based on the concepts of the drinking water, general situation of urban water sources and domestic and foreign research dynamic, analysis and research the quality of underground water and the pollution, the status quo of drinking water and problems, operation and management mechanism of drinking water. The results show that, the quality of deep confined water in Hohhot is good, more than95%is II or III that can be drink directly. The quality of shallow ground water is not very good, there is nearly no I in the urban, and has hidden danger in polluting the deep confined water. The pollution of the underwater is mainly from the waste water, waste residue and construction waste of the industrial enterprise; The life sewage, life rubbish of human activities, the use of pesticides and fertilizers in agricultural production, and gas precipitation eluviations. The research show that there are more than150pollution sources in Hohhot urban, which can be divided into three categories on the base of the source of the pollution:industry pollution, urban living pollution, agriculture pollution.After nearly30years, the drinking water source protect area for groundwater in Hohhot urban has been divided several times, formed the scheme in2012.6. Similar to the most protect and manage methods about water source, management mechanism of drinking water source protect area for groundwater in Hohhot urban is based on protected area dividing, and regaled and supersede by the environmental protection department, water authority and county-level people’s government. Drinking source groundwater in Hohhot urban has ten waterworks, some own water source, and179water supply wells, water authority in Hohhot is in charge of the daily management and operation of the water supply facilities such as water sources wells, water authority and environmental protection department are in charge of water quality detection, environmental protection department and county-level people’s government are in charge of pollution management of water source protect area.The study analyses the problems about water source pollution and management mechanism of water source, put forward the countermeasures about pollution management and optimizing management mechanism.
