Considering today’s energy situation, the Chinese governments vigorously promote thepopularization and application of renewable energy, particularly solar energy and shallow geothermal energy. Ground source heat pump system with excellent energy saving and environmental protection features, has been developing rapidly in recent years. Qinghai-Tibetan PlateauFragile ecological balance, a lack of energy, but valley areas has abundant groundwater resources, in terms of energy efficiency, ecological or economic considerations, on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau groundwater source heat pump system applications suitability analysis studies there are important positive significance.This paper first analyzed the current situation in the development and research of ground source heat pump at home and abroad, especially the suitability evaluation research statusof the groundwater source heat pump throughout China. In the comparative analysis of the suitability evaluation system across the country, and taking fully into account the basis of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau hydrogeological conditions, climatic factors, economic development,by appling the basic principles of systems engineering and fuzzy theory analyzed the factors affecting the groundwater source heat pump applications,selected the evaluation indexes, then established the mufti factor, mufti index suitability evaluation system of the ground water source heat pump in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Second, AHP and non-structural fuzzy weighting method two methods were used to determine the weight of each indexin the evaluation system, after the comparative analysis and mutual authentication, a combined weights of the two weights was got by using multiplication synthetic normalization method. Finally, the application of the evaluation system and the indicators weights, using the comprehensive index method and the gray correlation comprehensive evaluation methodto evaluate the study area counties, and thesuitability is divided into very suitable, suitable, barely suitable, unsuitable, got the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau area district resource suitability results and the regional planning of ground water source heat pump.Results of the study on ground water source heat pump applicationresource suitabilityof Qinghai-Tibet Plateau show that: the densely populated and economically developed areas of the Yarlung Zangbo River-Nianchu River-Lhasa River basin,Xining City, Datong, Golmud City,Delingha City, and the edge of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, as Wenchuan, Jiuzhaigou,Lixian, Chayu, Deqin, Shangri-Labelong to the very suitable zone, recommend applications. The other has rich water areas of the Yarlung Zangbo River-Nianchu River-Lhasa River basin, the Yellow River-Huangshui River-Datong River basin areas, the south of north latitude30degrees in Sichuan, and Motuo, Zuogong, Maoxian belong to the suitable zone, can be used. Permafrost region and its adjacent sparsely populated and economically underdeveloped region are the unsuitable zone, should forbid applications.Else regions of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau belong to the barely suitable zone of ground water source heat pump application, limited to be used.For a specific project of very suitable areas or suitable region, introduced the system suitability evaluation methods, and examples.This study on suitability of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is the first in the extreme climate area such as high altitude, high radiation, permafrost,extremely low temperatures, and extremely long heating period, was aimed at the suitability partition of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau hydro geological, climate characteristics and the limited data parameter conditions,has important reference value to the rational use of ground water source heat pump system in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
