| Human activities especially on urban development and infrastructure construction are changing the global ecosystem patterns fast and profoundly. With30years’ of rapid urbanization, the city size, the number of infrastructures, social and economic of Guangdong Province located in the forefront of China’s reform and opening, has developed greatly. At the same time, rapid urbanization inevitably lead to a sharp change in ecosystem structure and function, the resulting environmental problems have already become increasingly prominent. This research, which is in support of RS,GIS technology and based on the theory of landscape changetheory, landscape ecology theory,as well as the five-year remote sensing data from Guangdong Province, assesses the types, distribution, proportion and spatial pattern of terrestrial ecosystem and analyses the transition features among various types of ecosystem.According to the actualsituation of the study area, combined with various types of statistical data,we choose suitable factors for nature and social economy as the impact factors of landscape pattern distribution and then we study qualitatively about those factors from all kinds of landscape patterns in Guangdong. This study reveals the driven mechanism of the landscape changing in Guangdong and explores the human activities and the relationship between the ecology and the changing of landscape pattern in the area.According to the change in the pattern composed, type conversion, the Landscape pattern characteristics in a decade, as well as the driving forces analysis, the pattern of Guangdong Province showed the characteristics as follows:(1) The results showed that forest was the dominant land use and land cover types of Guangdong Provence in the passed three decades, which contribution to a stability of natural ecosystems, while the changes mainlyoccured in artificial ecosystems such as farmland and urban land, the shift caused the result of reduction in farmland.(2)The land use and land cover remained stable with a slight fragmentationise for the three decades. The fragmentation degree in Pearl River Delta region is higher than the other regions of Guangdong Provence. In the last decade of the research time, the fragmentation degree of the Guangdong Provence remains. (3)The main land use and land cover type conversion was that the farmland shift to urban land. The phenomenonthat urban sprawl into farmlands and wetlands as its main degradation threatis very prominent.(4) Industrial upgrading and urbanization has prompted changes in the pattern of urban ecology, and the formation of urban spatial structure--" One-Lord, Three-assistant, A-Ring, Six-Core, Six-Banding ". More attention was paid to coordination between the environment and ecology while develop the regional economic to pursue a more comprehensive MFOZ. |
