The Integrated Information Search Based On Geographic Information Semantic Matching Models

Abstract:Nowadays, the best way to obtaining information needed is to use Search Engines. However, it is much more difficult to get geographic information for the complexity and diversity of geographic data, which lead to the lack of easy entry to get access to geographic information we wanted. The topic of this paper is just to give research of the integrated search on text and geographic data, through building a set of geographic information semantic matching models.The whole topic is made up of text segmentation machine, index build of geographic data, geographic information semantic matching model and the research of Web map service. In the process of studying text segmentation machine, a new text segmentation model based on hierarchical policy is put forward which had been proved efficiently. Secondly, I also explore the format of the index of geographic data and the algorithms of text search. Thirdly, a set of geographic information semantic matching models are built which are the core of this paper. And that help to realize the system of integrated search on text and geographic data. In the end, a detailed research on Web map services is given.Around the several parts above, based on the project of One Map of Global Geology and Mineral Resources, the prototype system of integrated search on text and geographic data was built successfully. The experimental results show that the prototype system is basically satisfactory, and the efficiency is to be optimized.
