The Benbatamiao area is located in the Northwestern Inner Mongolia plateau, in theUrad Middle Banner and Urad Rear Banner, Bayannaoer city in Inner Mongolia. It is in thewestern segment of the northern margin of the North China Block, and the south part of theYinshan-uplift and in the north of the Ordos-depression. It belongs to the middle-easternsegment of the Zhulazhaga-Jiashenpan Proterozoic gold, iron, sulfur, lead, zinc, nickel, platinum, copper metallogenic belt. These large copper-lead-zinc polymetallic deposits in the Benbatamiao area, inclduingthe Dongshengmiao, Tanyaokou, Huogeqi in west segment, and Jiashengpan in east segment, have similar geological setting and other geological conditions. Those area have exceptionalmine prospect potential, owning to various factors and conditions, the basic geological surveyand mineral resource exploration research. However, mineralization geological conditions, metallogenic regularity and metallogenic prediction have no detailed study, which will furtheraffect prospecting work. On the basis of extensively data collection, this thesis have beendiscussed on the geological tectonic framework, tectonic unit characteristics, geologicalhistory, sediment sequence, magma activity and metamorphism in Benbatai temple area. Bystudying the distribution of mineral resources, comprehensive geochemical anomalies of1:50,000stream sediment survey and geophysical anomalies of1:50,000high-precisionmagnetic survey, the mineralization geological conditions and metallogenic regularity havebeen summarized. The major depsoits are hosted in the Late Archean Sertengshan group,Zenglongchang formation and Agulugou formation of Mesoproterozoic Zhaertaishangroup. The main ore types have magnet quartzite type iron ore (BIF-type, Anshan-type ironore), magma-tectonic environments hydrothermal vein type copper deposit, sedimentaryexhalative type sulfur-zinc, sulfur-iron ore and sedimentary-metamorphic type graphitedeposit. The metallogenic epochs are concentrated in three periods: late Archean,Mesoproterozoic and Paleozoic.Based on analysis on geophysical, geochemical anomalies and ore deposits distribution, comprehensive consideration of sedimentary, magmatic and tectonic, distribution of mine andmetallogenic epoch, author has gained a series of prospecting areas, inclding two I-grademetallogenic prospective areas (Buhangaole and Duimenshan), three Ⅱ-grade (Gehuasi,Wenggunshan, Balageng), and two Ⅲ-grade metallogenic prospective areas (Bengbataimiaoand Yihejiu). In addition, author has gained Two two A-class ore-prospecting target area:(Buhangaole and Duimenshan;), six B-class ore-prospecting target area:(Gehuamiao,Gunhudage, Duguibaishi, Wenggunshan, Suji and Qiandamen;), and three C-classore-prospecting target area ore-prospecting targets area:(the north oftern Gehuamiao, theeastern of Bengbataimiao and Bayingnuru). The geological, geophysical and geochemicalanomalies and ore-forming characteristics in each metallogenic prospective district andore-prospecting targets area have been described. The resource potential of the major targetareas, mineralization types, and deposit characteristics have been analyzed, providing thebasis work for further prospecting.
