Red tourism has obviously the education attribute. This is decided by the constitutionfoundation of red tourism industry--the essence of the red tourism resources. Because of thered tourism resources different from the landscape and the humanities landscape in general, itis down to our special revolutionary historical heritage landscape resources. At the same time,because of its distinctive historical and cultural value and cultural landscape attribute, whichmakes the red tourism resources with the greatest features: the attribute of education.Therefore, we must study the role and characteristics of red tourism resources in theideological and political education, and this is our continuous attention to fundamentalpurpose of red tourism related topics. Based on the literature analysis and interdisciplinaryresearch method, in order to achieve the comprehensive research results, finally solve thecentral topic of this paper. In this paper, through the detailed analysis of the special activitiesof the combination of the tourism and education, find out the ideological and politicaleducation in red tourism activities in its mechanism and principle, then analyses how tostrengthen the role of the red tourism resources in the ideological and political education, andprovide intellectual support for government decision-making departments formulate local redtourism resources development planning. At the same time, the red tourism is a new form,how to strengthen ideological and political education in our country. The ideological andpolitical education activities with the red tourism resources, is a new topic of greatsignificance. In this study, we first explored the ideological and political education in the redtourism. Combined with the specific situation in Henan Province, describes the status ofIdeological and political education by means of red tourism resources in Henan province.Finally, discussed the effective measures to improve the education effect. Through theanalysis of a series of theoretical discussion and empirical analysis, this paper draws theconclusion: the role of red tourism resources research in the ideological and politicaleducation, is not only conducive to the development of red tourism is growing, but alsoconducive to the harmonious development of local social economy. In addition, the core valueof the most important, or that it can touch people’s mind, inspiring enthusiasm, to create morematerial wealth and spiritual wealth, and ultimately provide a strong spiritual impetus forsocial development and progress.
