57commen garden plants in the Huagangguanyu Park were studied., It contens8evergreen trees,28deciduous trees,16evergreen shrubs,5deciduous shrubs. Using LAI-2000plant canopy analyzer for the determination of the Leaf area index in2012, July, august, september three months, and using the LI-6400Portable photosynthesis system to measure the net photosynthetic rate about57species of3months.on this basis, calculate57garden plants carbon fixation and oxygen release, carbon fixation capacity, carbon fixation and oxygen release efficiency was compared and analyzed.These results will provide scientific basis and practical guidance for planning, design, construction and maintenance of low carbon urban landscape. the main results are as follows:1.In the view of the leaf area index,evergreen trees Magnolia grandiflora, Phoebe chekiangensis, Cinnamomum camphora, deciduous trees Platanus×acerifolia, Pterocarya stenoptera, is the excellent greening trees in the landscaping of the city. Small trees Osmanthus fragrans, Photinia serratifolia, Acer palmatum’Atropurpureum’is the excellent middle greening species in the city; Fatsia japonica, Aucuba japonica var. variegate, Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum, is excellent lower plants. The leaf area index of57garden plants through the3months was sort from more to less.2.The carbon fixation and oxygen release for57garden plant species through the growth period in3different months was sort from more to less.3.The capacity of carbon fixation and oxygen release is best which carbon fixation is more than20g·m-2·d-1, the capacity of carbon fixation and oxygen release is better which carbon fixation is between20~10g·m-2·d-1, the capacity of carbon fixation and oxygen release is common which carbon fixation is lesslO g·m-2·d-1.57garden plant species was classified three groups.15tested species have a best capacity of carbon fixation and oxygen release.29tested species have a better capacity of carbon fixation and oxygen release.13tested species have a common capacity of carbon fixation and oxygen release.The analysis of Hangzhou common garden plant carbon fixation and oxygen release and the leaf area index, the results can be used as an important basis for the plant disposition, low carbon efficient plant landscape design.
