With the preparation of city subway, the rise of new business circle and theconstruction of large project, the process of Wuhan’s urbanization become faster. Butmany problems and trouble were brought out at the same time. The present situation ofwater resources in Wuhan is although Wuhan owns an obvious area advantage on theamount of water resources, water quality and water area, the exploitation, utilization andprotection of water resource also have some problems. In order to improve the presentsituation of water resources of Wuhan and advance Wuhan’s ecological city constructionsuccessfully, looking for the future path of Wuhan’s water resources is of great realisticsignificance. For this, in combination with concrete facts and analyze the obstacles in theprocess of water crisis governance of Wuhan, draw lessons from foreign large andmedium-sized cities’ successful experience in water resources development, utilizationand protection is as well as a road to seek development and breakthrough. Includingmake full use of existing resources and maintain cities’ pipe network, cultivating thepublic awareness of water crisis actively and set up a crisis management mechanism,attaching great importance of support to the regulations and policies of the governmentmanagement system, water resources’ cross-border governance and so on. On the base ofthose measures, Wuhan need to promote new water saving technology,formulatingreasonable water price,increasing sewage treatment strength through the construction ofsewage treatment’s facilities and introducing river into the lake to dissolve the crisis ofwater resources and then look for the new water resources development.
