Qinba area of Shaanxi province is a perfect area for the development of geo-hazards, sostudies on the developmental characteristics and distribution laws of the geological hazards inthis area, as well as risk assessment, which have certain research meaning, can provide localland planning and utilization, disaster prevention and reduction, warning systemestablishment with scientific basis. GIS and mathematical models combined evaluationmethod, widely used in various fields of geological disasters, to quickly realize this study. This paper regards Hanyin county as the object, combining the investigation andregionalization of geological disasters, the existing geological hazard information and otherbasic data of Hanyin county, describing the forming conditions and distribution laws ofgeological disasters in Hanyin county, conducting the risk assessment of geological disastersin Hanyin county by using GIS technology platform and analysis hierarchy process method, conclusions are as follows:Landslide, collapse and debris flow are the most typical geological disasters in the studyarea. There are267geological disasters in total, which are composed of244landslides,12collapses and11debris flows. The developmental characteristics are large amount, wide area, small scale and obvious signs of activity. Geological disasters have different levels ofdevelopment and distribution in different towns. From spatial distribution regularities, theyare distributed mainly along Guanyin river, Qingni river, Zhong river, Yue river, Hanjiang andseveral big rivers, as well as both sides of their tributary, and the areas with more developedeconomy; From temporal distribution regularities, they are concentrated in July, August andSeptember and months with high precipitation. The formation of geological disasters isclosely related to geography, the types and structures of rock soil mass, loose layer thickness, water action and human engineering activities. This paper chooses density, gradient distribution, geomorphic type and altitude, rock soilmass type, river distribution, fault developmental degree, precipitation and humanengineering activity intensity of geological disasters as assessment indexes for riskassessment; According to the degree of influence of each evaluation factor for thedevelopment of geological disasters, completing the geological disaster risk zoning of Hanyin county by MAPGIS by using the analytic hierarchy process model; the zoning results areclassified as high, medium and low risk areas, which are206.87km~2、456.2km~2、702.81km~2respectively, accounting for15.15%、33.40%、51.45%of the total county.Combining the results of geological disaster risk zoning and the development planningof Hanyin county, this paper provides geological disaster prevention and control, massprediction and disaster prevention of Hanyin county with some theoretical suggestions.
