Land resources is an important material foundation for people’s survival anddevelopment, to achieve the efficient and scientific management of land resources is theinevitable requirement of current management career development of land resources. It is animportant way to use information technology and information management for promotinginnovation in land and resources management and realizing the scientific and standardizedand fine management of land resources. Over the past few years, the department of landresources promoted the information construction of land resources management actively, andaccelerated the construction of “a map” project, in order to achieve complete coverage andwhole process of dynamic monitoring and supervision of land resources, to achieve thepurpose of “Managing of land, mineral and ownership by “a map”.This paper from the background of the information construction, carefully analysed thecurrent problems of land resources management in our country, illustrated the practicalsignificance of the construction of “a map”, on the basis of the results of previous studies andpilot regional system construction experience．Researched and analysed the data classificationand characteristics of land resources，researched and discussed the construction content andframe work of the core database construction of “a map”, as well as key technology. Throughthe analysis of user needs, according to the general principles of the database design,combined with the existing various types of special database construction standards, designedthe core database elements, data classification and coding system, organizational structure anddata model，researched and designed the physical storage of the database structure and datasecurity system. Establish database construction technology process and steps, emphasised ondiscussing the data integration in the application of the database construction. Finally,combined the analysis of the structure and function of Ziyang land resources “a map” system,clarified the application and display of the core database in the system.The purpose of this study is by the construction of the core database system on “a map”,to provide the data base for the overall construction of “a map” system, to providecomprehensive and highly Shared data support for the work of management of land resources,to promote the Information construction of land resources.
