With the rapid development of computer and network technology, the geologyresearch appears the new characteristics which adapt to the development of computer andnetwork technology. In mid and late of20th century, the Geographic Information System(Geographic Information System, GIS) was introduced of geological study. Geologyresearch accepted the application of GIS in the1990s. With the development ofinformation technology, aspects of geological data integration and geologicaldecision-making achieved rich results. Because the geology problems have the complexityand geological research is interdisciplinary and geological spatial data has characteristicsof complex and heterogeneous and distribution, a large number of geological spatial dataneeds to be analysised, processed, coalesced and integration to build geological modelbefore research. Geological spatial data integration is a prerequisite and must step forgeological research. Geological spatial data integration can provide available and reliabledata for geological research. Therefore, we should solve geological questiones whichinclude multi-source heterogeneous, semantics heterogeneous, heterogeneous caused bymultidimensional complex space structure by integration to make data meet the data user’srequirements. Due to the development of Internet technology, information resourcesharing has become an inevitable trend. It is difficult to achieve data sharing because ofdifference on data structure, spatial models and format conversion. Better solve the problem of data integration can reduce redundancy and the cost of data acquisition, minedata information fully, improve data utilization and increase economic benefits.To solve the questiones of multi-source heterogeneous spatial data distribution andquality control on the process of integration, data warehouse and data quality controltechnology can be used. The key technology of geological spatial data integration is:spatial data warehouse technology, metadata system technology and quality controlevaluation technology. Based on the current reseach status of data integration and keytechnologies in international and domestic, the article make study on data integration bydata warehouse and evaluation of spatial data quality. This makes it convenient to studydata mining, information fusion and geological spatial data sharing. The work andachievements of this paper is briefly as follows:1. Research status of data integration technologyBased on the literature data, the paper indicates the research status and developmenttrend of geological spatial data integration and key issues.2. Study on geological data featureIt introduces the source, features and demand of geological data study, focus on thetechnology of feature extraction.3. Construct4G geospatial data integration model applying data warehousetechnologyBy comparing the main methods of data integration, we point out that applying datawarehouse technology to treatment4G geospatial data integration problem is feasible andnecessary. According to4G spatial data characteristics, data integration mode and theapplication of data warehouse technology to carry out4G geospatial data integration.According to the respective advantages and disadvantages of data warehouse technology,middleware technology in the integrated data, this paper adopts the combining method ofthe data warehouse and middleware. Simultaneously it introduces the processes ofconstructing4G geospatial data integration model with data warehouse technology, andemphasises on stating the design structure of the geological data warehouse. The case is verified by the SQL Server data warehouse tool.4. Research on metadata of spatial data integrationIt summaries definition, content, role, the present research situation and the standardof metadata.It mainly introduces the design and building of metadata in the dataintegration in this paper.5. Study on quality control system of geological spatial data integrationIt introduces the concept of geological spatial data quality and quality control andexpounds data source of quality problems of the geological space integration. It putforward quality evaluation standard and evaluation process. The paper focuses on qualityevaluation method, common errors according to the law of integrated data, evaluation byapplication of improved analytic hierarchy process and data quality control.In this paper, research on the key technology of4G geospatial data integrationprovides the tentative method for data integration and information sharing, which providesthe foundationand for the subsequent data mining and data fusion processing. The keycontents of the geological spatial data integration technology, metadata and data qualitycontrol technology are helpful for G4I system upgrade development. Simultaneously, thereis a certain reference function for the integration problem in geoscience data study.
