Study On The Medicinal Plant Resources And Their Distribution Pattern In Tonggu Ling National Nature Reserve

Tongguling National Nature Reserve, which is located in the northeastern part of Hainan Island, is one ecosystem-protected area with tropical monsoon forest species resources, geological and topographical resources and coral reef resources. The vegetation of tropical evergreen monsoon elfin forest is climax vegetation in Tongguling which is quite dense. The whole area from along the coastal marsh, the beach, terraces to the foothills, to the hills are filled with mangroves, half mangrove, coastal sandy vegetation, bushes of the foothills, tropical evergreen monsoon elfin as well as some artificial forests, respectively. This research used path method, sample method and fixed sample plot method to comprehensively study the medicinal plant resources and their distribution pattern in the reserve. The results show that:(1) The analysis of plant resources in this reserve show that there are1019plant species, belonging to170families,643genus. The640kinds of medicinal plants resources (139families,544genus) account for62.81percent of the total number of plants, with the ferns accounting for48.78%, gymnosperms,50%, monocots,59.15%, and dicotyledons,64.03%. Further analysis find that3kinds of medicinal plants are endemic species in Hainan and7species of national protected plants in Tongguling Nature Reserve. Among the640species of medicinal plants,79are included in the Fourth national traditional Chinese medicine resources census for Hainan, accounting for37.98%of the province’s census species. Especially, of these census kinds, Especially Hydnocarpus hainanensis as one of the dominant species of the forest vegetation in the area, the population is large and widely distributed, which highlights the importance of medicinal plants resources in this area.(2)The medicinal characteristics of the medicinal plants are researched in Tong guling by analyzing its medicinal parts,taste and efficacy.The results show that the medicinal plants in Tongguling are mostly made for whole-plant drugs with the effectiveness of clearing away body heat. Their flavor are mostly cold,acrid, bitter-based.(3) By analyzing the floristic composition of the medicinal seed plants in Tongguling reserve, we did a statistical research of the distribution of medicinal seed plant families in the region, the results show that they are mostly pan-tropical distributed, with the majority of them tropical distributed. This is because Hainan is located in the northern tropical part of the planet. (4) We did pattern analysis of the dominant species (medicinal plant) of Monsoon elfin forest in Tongguling reserve. The results show that these types of plants are aggregation distribution when the sample range is small and tend to be randomly or evenly distributed as the sample range increases.After the. analyses of interspecific association of these plant species, the interspecific associations are main positive associations and tend to be negative associations ultimately. These results show that the distribution of medicinal plant resources in tongguling tends to be stable.
