Based on the natural Nitraria tangtorum populations of the Ulanbuh desert,research the associations of vegetation species populations in one hectare plots,and through the whole of the community species on the correlation analysis,understanding within the community shrub and grass seed correlation between characteristics.Comprehensive survey sample,shrubs and herbaceous plants growth as of a data base.According SEMPLE analysis,using of adaptive cluster sampling for sampling survey than the traditional method of the random sample is high efficiencyand and is the more representative sampling in view of the unique vegetation distribution of the desert region.The use of remote sensing image processing software ERDAS,the uneven distribution of clusters with shrubs coverage and density data were extracted from the airscapes in Dengkouxian UlanBuh Desert in Inner Mongolia on 2006.the ground survey data relative efficiency comparison of extracting data from the aerial picture discover the Nitraria tangtorum cover extracting from the aerial picture ratio was 0.94 for ground surveys,Artemisia ordosica cover ratio was 0.89,the ratio approaches 1.Clearly,the process of sampling flights from the extraction of data precision may meet in the shrub coverage analysis,and based on airscapes of the visual and three-dimensional is more accurate measurement results.The vegetation species is more scarce in UlanBuh Desert,the shrubs and herbaceous species in the community's position and role are larger by adoption of important value analysis, A series of techniques including the variance analysis(VR),x~2-test,the association coefficient (AC),the percentage of co-ocurrenc(PC) consulting the association a Pearson matrix correlation coefficient and the Spearman's rank correlation coefficient were used together with a 2×2 contingency table to analyze the interspecific associations of natural Nitraria tangtorum population and its main companion species in Ulanbuh Desert Inner Mongolia.Result:In the natural Nitraria tangtorum population,the association of nine dominant species showed no correlation.By the calculation results,in the all 35 species-pairs,there are 16 species-pairs which revealed positive association,and 19 species-pairs revealed negative association.Of the main species of Nitraria tangtorum-Artemisia ordosica association of no significant,independent growth characteristics,with the exception of Artemisia ordosica-peganumharmala showed a significant positive association,Nitraria tangtorum-herbage and other herbaceous species-pairs distributions trend to be independent.The result is very important to construct steady desert plant community,reconstruct desert plant community and regulate ecological pattern in theory,stability of the regional ecological environment in the western region of drought and desertification and restoration of vegetation to Combat Desertification has important significance using of the ecological relevance of the species for optimal control populations.
