It’s the foundation of mine flood prevention and control to fully understand themining area hydrogeological condition.In recent years,the experience shows that isotopeis the effective method to judge groudwater recharge sources and analysis thegroundwater runoff features.Xinggong mining area,Yuzhou mining area and Hebimining area are all the large groundwater flow mines in Henan province.It’s diffcult toprevent and control the mine water disaster which is a important and arduous task in thethree mining areas with complicated hydrogeological conditions.The research using isotope method to analyze the hydrogeological conditions ofthe three mining area provided the theoretical basis for scientific and reasonableprevention of mine water in mining areas.On the basis of understanding to thehydrologic and geological backygroud of study areas,water sampling at the study areashave been the fist step. Then, the water sampls should be done hydrogen and oxygenisotope determination and CFC concentration determination respectively.Hydrogen andoxygen isotopic data were used to analyse groundwater recharge elevation and dividedthe hydrogeologic sub-units in Xinggong mining area,to judge the supply source ofgroundwater in Yuzhou mining area and to grasp the features of groundwater runoff inHebi mining area. Finally, conclusions are gained as follows:(1)In Xinggong miningarea, the main supply source to surface water and groundwater is atmosphericprecipitation. The character of groundwater runoff have been studied by calulating thereplenishment elevation. Xiaolongchi spring and Huancuiyu spring are the two typicalsubsystems of Xinggong karst water system.(2) The recharge source to the krast waterat Yuzhou mining area is groundwater at northwest mountainous area and groundwaterrecharge elevation is193m.So,the direct recharge source is groundwater at Baishareservior area,and the atmospheric area precipitation there is the main recharge sourceto Baisha reservior area groundwater.So the recharge source to the krast water isatmospheric precipitation of mountainous area at Yuzhou mining area.The averageapparent age of groundwater at1stmine was40years using the concentration methodand permeability coefficient K was82.0m/d.Compared with the actual situation,thecalculations have been practical.(3)In Hebi mining area, the groundwater runoff of the two karst water systems, Xiaonanhai and Xugou,have been changed because of minedrainage.There have been formed a new discharge point at the border of two karst watersystem,where the groundwater in a small certain area flow to.
