Meteorological parameters testing system is a necessary system for all levelsmeteorological stations to acquire the meteorological parameters and forecast the weather.At most conventional meteorological stations, the meteorological monitoring system iscomposed of the meteorological data acquisition equipment, monitoring equipment, andnetwork interface devices. The system structure is relatively complex, and the developmentis difficult, and the system cost is higher. Use LabVIEW to develop the meteorologicalparameter test system suitable for the weather stations, and reduce the difficulty of themonitoring equipment development, and also can simplify the part parameter acquisitiondevice development, and directly connected parts of the sensor’s standard output signalusing for every parameter testing to the input ends of the monitoring equipment acquisitioncard. The above approach can reduce the system’s research and development costs, andwith the development of computer technology,the system upgrade easily.On the basis of analysis of the measurement principle of the relevant meteorologicalparameters in this paper, completed the selection of meteorological measurementmeteorological measurement. Using the virtual instrument technology to study themeteorological test system; designing the meteorological test system based on LabVIEWand USB2831and achieving the remote data communication by the RS485interface.Focus on the use of multi-channel fast function of USB2831data acquisition card toachieve the signal acquisition of temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind directionand precipitation and other meteorological factors, at the same time using the serialcommunication function of VISA module of LabVIEW to achieve the data communicationof the barometer, and finish al the test system with the hierarchical, modular programmingthought.The main work of this paper can be divided into four parts:①Firstly, analysis of themeasuring principle of meteorological parameters, and selecting the relevantmeteorological measurement equipment according to customers’ needs equipmentperformance indicators;②T he LabVIEW serial communications programis designed forthe transmission of the digital barometer measuring air pressure value;③A chievingUSB2831data acquisition card multi-meteorological signal acquisition by LabVIEW,where the temperature and humidity analog signal to digital signal AD conversion, thedigital signal like wind speed, wind direction and rainfall for timing and counting toachieve the real-time acquisition of meteorological parameters;④Meteorological data processing and display by LabVIEW, mainly to complete the meteorological data storage,call and weather warning.This paper makes use of virtual instrument technology and LabVIEW platform toachieve the real-time data acquisition of the six parameters of meteorological liketemperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed, wind direction andrainfall, and add storage, display and other functions to construct real-timemulti-meteorological parameters testing system based on the data acquisition card ofLabVIEW and USB2831.By the experiment test, it found that the system has goodperformance to acquisition, display and storage of various meteorological parametersquickly and accurately.
