Theory Of Suitability Assessment For Construction Of Villages And Towns In Mountainous Regions

Our country is a huge geographical country, but it’s short of land resources becauseof the huge population. Around two-thirds of our country is mountain area, which isspecial geomorphology include of geological disasters and ecologically fragile and soon. Towns in mountain area develop comparatively slowly with those in plain region.The CPC central committee attaches great importance to the “harmonious development”within eastern, central and western regions. We should scientific utilization of landresources help to speed up the urbanization construction in western China. However,towns’ development in mountain area is lack of scientific planning, because mountainarea is large, and economic development is relatively backward, which makes thesustainable development ability is weak. Now one of construction projects will paymore attention on project investment and maximized benefits, but neglect the geologiclandforms, quality of soil, climate conditions, hydrologic conditions, and economicattributes. Based on the “twelfth five-year” national science and technology supportplan subject, this article will do some research on the demonstration area which islocated in Tong Nan, Chong Qing. The research contents are as follows:1. Analyze affecting factors of mountainous rural area construction. Synthesize thegeologic landforms, quality of soil, climate conditions, hydrologic conditions, andeconomic attributes, especially the geologic landforms, to build a more comprehensiveand actionable geology construction land suitability evaluation index system.2. Based on the research status both in China and abroad, in view of thecharacteristics and requirements of the mountain villages and towns land use, build theimpact factor of restricting the construction of rural area according to the related theoryand method. With the aid of some mathematical method, establish mathematical model,and make the evaluation model more reasonable by constantly correcting model.3. Empirical research combined with practical project. Analyze the demonstrationzone’s land suitability and evaluation, and give some suggestion about construction ofvillages and towns in mountain area.
