Research On The Supply Chain Network Evolution Theory For The Supplier Selection And Application

The global financial crisis and a slowdown in China’s economy growth make se-rious overcapacity appear in domestic manufacturing industry. Due to intense compe-tition, the growth mode of blindly expand production needs to change. This paper re-searches and analysis the evolution process of supply chain network from the organi-zational ecology, and on this basis, it further researches the dynamic supplier selectionmethod and strategy on various stages in the evolution of supply chain network.This paper’s theory research is based on the organization evolution of supplychain network. Biological populations, communities, the society organizations andeconomy system of human society are all made up by individuals in nature. This pa-per researches the self-organization evolution of supply chain network populationfrom two aspects. On the one hand, this paper analysis different kinds ofself-organization evolution of the supply chain network population from the popula-tion’s total capacity and total demand. Divide the whole self-organization evolution ofthe supply chain network into four different stages, according to the change of totalsupply and demand number between the supplier population and the manufacturerpopulation. When products or service’s demand number bigger than supply number,we defined it as growth period; When products or service’s supply number biggerthan demand number, we defined it as transition period; And on this basis, with thepass of time, When the supply and demand has been relatively mature, we defined itas shock period; When the populations becomes decline or extinction, we defined it asdecline period. On the other hand, this paper starts from the organizational structureevolution of the supply chain network, considers the formation process of the supplychain network in different stages and the process of play a game and evolution be- tween supplier and manufacturer’s competition and cooperation activity.On this basis, this paper expresses the necessity of selecting suppliers from the viewof evolution, according to the indexes, such as quality, price and financial condition,construct the supplier selection index system, which is based on the supply chainnetwork evolution theory, through using the Analytic Hierarchy Process, provide theselect standard of index weight value in different evolution stages’ supplier selectionthrough the combination of qualitative and quantitative method, then through analysesand calculation, get comprehensive evaluation result. In the aspect of system con-struction, this paper makes a forklift manufacturing enterprise as the research object,develops a supplier selection system, which is based on J2EE architecture. It canachieve various functions in the process of supplier selection, which can provide amanagement and decision platform to enterprises.
