Post planning is the basis of human resource planning, post planning’s conditionwill directly affect the balance of strategic planning of a company. X company’scurrent post settings no longer meet the needs of strategic planning. As a result, postplanning studies for X company(hereinafter referred to as X) is of great significanceto the completion of human resource management and strategic planning objectives.Firstly, the paper points out the reason of studying post planning for X. Secondly, thestudy is made by comparative analysis on three phased reform in the organizationalstructure posts and allocation of structural changes and the development of analysisfor the geological survey industry. Then we understood the advantages anddisadvantages of X’s posts design reference by the comparison with two othergeological exploration units personnel structure which is helpful to X’s post planning.Beside this paper identifies some unreasonable problems in organizational structureand the post match by questionnaires, case analysis comparison method whichprovides quantitative information and theoretical basis for setting a quota for postsand positions in the planning. A staffing table is designed by the human resourceneeds forecast for the organizational structure of posts and allocation applies to thestrategic development of X. Finally, conclusions and recommendations are made outfor the planning of human resources positions of X.The post planning studies in this paper is closely around the X’s strategicobjectives, the basis of the company’s industrial objectives, management goals andbusiness objectives. By the means of organization structure design in the planning ofhuman resources positions, posts and design, setting a quota design with echoes ofhuman resources jobs plan without departing from the objectives, a realistic postplanning is developed in order to ensure the strategic plan for X. Hopefully it is alsohelpful to the other similar companies.
