Analysis Of Project Management Maturity Of Scic Company And Promotion Strategy

This research inortduces several typical project management maturity model’s scope, basic constitutes and strucutre. And this essay tries to analyze and compare these several modes so that we can get a clear understanding on project management maturity model, and can accelerate their spreading and the fulfillment in our construction project management aera. Last, this essay draws a conclusion on the fasibility and problems in the implement of our construction project management by applicable cases, and gives some advices on how to fulfill project management maturity model deeply.Using the model, maturity assessment of contractors in SCIC is undertaken and, low level of project management maturity (informal practice of the basic processes) is found. In light of the self-assessments of SCIC Corporation21in-progress projects, analyzes the disparity that SCIC Corporation has. Moreover, the research found higher maturity level for material, procurement, cost, financial, time, and human resource management. Risk and safety management are found to be the least matured project management areas.The major contributions or significance of this research are:1. The maturity assessment result of this research can be used as initial benchmark information in prioritizing and designing improvement action. Further the same result can also be used as a baseline to compare the success of or impact of future improvement efforts.2. The proposed model and its questionnaires can be used in assessing maturity of construction project management. In addition, the proposed model can serve as a guide in implementing project management and designing improvement effort.3. It has identified gaps in the existing maturity models for further refinement of those models.
