The Swot Theory Research Perspectives Of Binzhou City Efficient Ecological Economic Zone Construction

The Yellow River Delta is located to the south of Bohai Sea in the Yellow River coastal area,which is the last river delta in China to be developed. There are rich natural resources, vast landand sea, as well as a unique ecological environment. Therefore, it has great potential fordevelopment. The development of the Yellow River Delta means a lot to the progress of BohaiRim region. Binzhou City is located in the north of Shandong Province to the Bohai Sea. It has ajurisdiction over six counties and one district, as well as an economic development zone, ahigh-tech development zone and the North Sea Economic Development Zone. Having apopulation of3.75million, it is the largest and most populated administrative region in theYellow River Delta. The layout area and population account for over1/3of the Yellow RiverDelta., which enables the city to be the main battlefield of Yellow River Delta EfficientEcological Economic Zone. Binzhou City has great advantage for development.In December2009, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the "theYellow River Delta Efficient Ecological Economic Zone Development Plan", which means theYellow River Delta Efficient Ecological Economic Zone becomes a national strategy. Since then,a new chapter of the Yellow River Delta Efficient Ecological Economic Zone construction began.As the main battlefield of Yellow River Delta Efficient Ecological Economic Zone, how to get agreat progress under such good circumstances became an important question. On4th January2011, the State Council replied “the Development Plan of Shandong Peninsula Coastal EconomicZone”. Shandong Peninsula Coastal Economic Zone became national strategies, becoming animportant part of the national oceanic development strategy and coordinated regionaldevelopment strategy. The combination and coordination of the Yellow River Delta EfficientEcological Economic Zone and the Shandong Peninsula Coastal Economic Zone provides a greatplatform for a better development. Under such circumstances, Binzhou faces serious challengesas well as terrific opportunities. Therefore, research on development strategy of Binzhou Cityunder these national strategies is of great importance to seizing the opportunities and catching upwith developed areas as well as constructing the Yellow River Delta Efficient EcologicalEconomic Zone and the Shandong Peninsula Coastal Economic Zone.This thesis includes seven chapters. Chapter One is about the circumstances, purpose andthe importance of the research, which introduces the research status at home and abroad. It alsoprovides the research thoughts and methods. In chapter Two, the basic theories instructing theresearch is provided, which include the efficient ecological economy, sustainable developmenttheory，ecological economics theory and also the SWOT analysis template. From chapter Three to chapter Five, the advantages and disadvantages as well as opportunities and threats forBinzhou City to develop efficient and ecological economy are analyzed. In chapter Six, theoverall plan of developing an efficient and ecological economy is provided, including functionalorientation, spatial layout, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions on how toachieve this goal.
