Along with the increasingly development of global economy, great changes are taking place in terms of businesses’ framework and managing strategies. In order to enhance competence, organizations should set up long-term plans and implement strategic policies. Corporate management has already stepped into a new era, and as an important part of strategic management, enterprise strategy performance evaluation would change along with the evolution of modern enterprise management. Conventional financial performance evaluation system has been unable to meet the needs of modern strategic management. A set of forward-looking, long-term and integrate performance evaluation system should be set. An effective strategic performance evaluation system should be able to specialize enterprise’s strategic target, under which circumstances performance evaluation and improvement are easier to achieve. According to the contingency theory, when a an enterprise is in different stages of business, its internal and external business environment are also different, also are their strategic objectives and performance evaluation priorities. There is no universal performance evaluation system applicable to all stages in every enterprise, therefore, To construct a set of suitable for China’s enterprises development characteristics of the strategic performance evaluation system has important significance.This essay is divided into five parts. The first part is introduction, and it mainly introduces the research background, research significance and research methods, summarizing the main points of domestic and international scholars. The second part is the related theories and concepts. It explains the concepts of strategy, strategic performance evaluation and life cycle on the bases of stakeholder theory, trustee agency theory, contingency theory, strategic management theory and the life cycle theory. The third part firstly introduces the basic ideas and fundamental factors of strategic performance evaluation, and then selects indexes for enterprise strategy performance evaluation, finally, designs a set of strategic performance evaluation system based on enterprise life cycle. The fourth part is the practical analysis, processing through selecting samples and standardizing indexes, and SPSS software has been utilized to make an empirical analysis towards electronic manufacturing industry. According to the result, for electronic manufacturing enterprises in developing period, their sensitivity to D/E ratios and profitability ratios is high, but only those has satisfying performance in innovation, expanding got higher total score; for mature electronic manufacturing enterprises, financial indicators which measure short-term development capacity and the non-financial indicators for long-term growth capacity should be equally measured, with the main focus upon cost control, operating efficiency and corporate governance. Electron manufacturing enterprises at recession stage are more sensible for solvency indicators, operating costs and financial ratios for short-term development capacity. The fifth part summarizes the research conclusion with suggestions being offered, and also predicts the future research direction.The characteristics and innovation of this paper are that, it starts from the enterprise strategy, enterprise life cycle into the strategic performance evaluation system of system, comprehensive evaluation, concept of strategic performance were described, and the strategic performance evaluation in strategic management. At the same time, in the strategic choice of indicators, emphasizing the market share, cost control, human resources, growth potential and other non-financial indicators for the importance of enterprise growth strategy, and the selection of electronic information manufacturing industry data for a comparative analysis, provides a new perspective for strategic performance evaluation. |
