Empirical Research Of The Competitiveness Of Listed Commercial Banks Based On The Factor Analysis

In recent years， with the development of marketing economy， the scale of banksexpands and the function increases gradually， the mechanism consummates day by day.The banking is the pillar industry of the financial circles， has an important position in theentire national economy. Along with the global economic integration process， and theeconomic structure makes the openness of the banking sector domestic lower. A largenumber of foreign banks have moved into Chinese market， launched a comprehensivecompetition with our commercial banks. As the main body of China’s financial system，China’s commercial banking industry comes into an era of also face competition fromdomestic banks and foreign banks. Listed commercial banks as the most dynamic part ofthe China banking， their competitive strength has special significance for the marketeconomic development， and the development experience of the listed banks haveimportant reference for other unlisted banks. In this case， as representatives of China’scommercial banks， listed commercial banks how to enhance the competitiveness of listedcommercial banks further and maintain the advantageous position in the financialcompetition. It is an important and urgent duty. Therefore， it has sizeable academic andpractical value that to carry on objective， overall analysis and appraisal to the presentcompetitiveness state of the commercial banks in our country.At first， this paper summarizes the findings of the study in competitiveness ofcommercial banks， and describes the competitiveness and the competitiveness ofcommercial banks in the content， the theory of the competitiveness of enterprises. On thebase of that， following the principles with scientific， comprehensive， and available，establishes the evaluation index system of the listed commercial bank in China， and thenstart on the empirical research of competitiveness of listed commercial banks. In the part ofempirical research， this paper chooses14listed commercial banks as the research sample， and collects the sample data from the Annual Report2011published by the11listed banks， and the empirical research method is factor analysis. With the results of thefactor composite score，analysis of the competitive situation of listed commercial banks interms of profitability， safety capacity， flow capacity， development capacity， scaleof strength and innovation capacity， and to determine the competitiveness ranking ofbanks. Finally，according to the results of the empirical analysis， this paper make policyrecommendations to enhance the competitiveness of listed commercial banks from manyaspects.
