Derived from the need of work, the uniforms are a kind of special clothing when thehuman society is developed to a certain stage, with characteristics such as functional,protective, identification, consistency, aesthetics, etc. The development of uniform industryindustry plays an important role for the healthy development of the industrial environmentand protection of labor resources in our country. However, there is a big gap betweenChinese and developed countries in uniform industry, such as production techniques andquality, research and development level, and administration system. With the open of theChinese market, many multinational enterprises have been made their presence in the localmarket. While at the same time, the volume of local companies is still growing fast,therefore, the local uniform industry is facing unprecedented competition pressure. How tomake use and survive from the competition situation and to achieve developments, isbecoming a difficult problem for every local uniform company. This is just the purposeand core of this research. In this dissertation, we had researches and analysis on thedevelopment direction and market orientation for uniform company on basis of view ofCore Competence, in order to provide new ideas for their development.The thesis starts from the studies of the origin of theories of core competence witheleaborating dissimilar standpoints of scholars in different period, and analyzes theconception, traits and structural levels, which settle the foundation of ideologies andtheories for the research. Afterwards, the dissertation illustrates the actual situation andcharacteristics of domestic uniform industry, analyzes the strengths, weaknesses,opportunities and threats facing by our domestic uniform industry by SWOT methods, andraises the restrictive factors in establishing core competences of domestic uniform industry.And then, through the example analysis of C company, author throw out an system of howto build up the core competences of uniform industry. Finally, with induction and deduction methods, the dissertation ends with the systematic structure of core competencefor domestic uniform companies.The innovation point of this dissertation goes to the usage of theory of corecompetence for the first time into analysis and study of uniform industry. With theexample study of a really successful uniform company, the dissertation propose somesolids ways for building the core competences of uniform companies, which has strongtheoretical and actual meanings for the domestic market.
