In recent years, China has become a new battleground for multinational companiescompete for research and development resources. More and more foreign companies haveset up R&D centers in China. At the same time, we are entering a new era, in this era, areverse innovation will first appear in the emerging countries, and then spread to otherdeveloping countries, and finally flows to developed countries. This is what we call reverseinnovation. In this context, multinational companies how to develop more suitable R&Dstrategy for China’s national conditions, so that to develop new strategies for achievestrategic transformation, and ultimately reverse innovation, achieve domestic and foreignwin-win, it has became the subject of many multinational corporations.The subsidiary of C Company is a technology-driven foreign-owned enterprises inChina。The topics of this article are designed as an entry point to research the R&Dstrategic selection, through the analysis of the internal and external environment faced bythe C Company, combined with modern strategic management theory, strategic analysistools, make practical research and development in China and strategic planning. I alsohope that through this case, be able to find a suitable R&D strategy for China’s nationalconditions, reverse the process of innovation, to provide a reference for othermultinationals reverse innovation strategy.This paper firstly reviewed the relevant management theory and the basic situation ofCompany C is facing. Secondly, did in-depth analysis of Company C driving force for theestablishment of R&D institutions in China from both external and internal factors.Thirdly, introduced the R&D strategy in China now and then from themacro-environment, cultural differences, technical level, the level of R&D managementand R&D personnel stability problem five angels to analyze C Company’s existing R&D strategy, so that to arrive there is a must to select a new strategy to meet the currentsituation. Then I did SWOT analysis and complete strategic match, given the overalldevelopment strategy of the C Company–growth strategy; under the guidelines of thisstrategy, I select offensive strategy as R&D strategy and set strategic goal. Finally, developa strategy for the implementation of the strategy, implementation steps and measures toensure the implementation process, and identify and assess possible risks, targeted todevelop coping strategies to protect the completion of the company’s target. |
