The invention control is an important part of the cost control, so it has been paid great attention in modern company. The method of supply chain is under the influence of global production and face the challenges with the change in economic and technology. That’s why it will have great practical implication to study the inventory control under supply chain.The study of inventory management based on the present conditions and problems of BlueScope Buildings company (Guangzhou) combined with its particularity of construction industry, and quoted from related inventory theories and advanced inventory management experience from other companies, in order to meet a multinational group’demand. A large amount of researches, analysis, practice and improvement was summarized to make a high-efficiency inventory management mode, which is appropriate for corporation’s development. After its implement of new inventory management mode, BlueScope Buildings Company (Guangzhou) gained considerable benefit and strengthened its competitive power, promote its further development. The inventory management experience of BlueScope Buildings Company (Guangzhou) could be used for reference by other companies from not only the same industries, but also others.Theoretic research and practice validation was used to establish the data information system of raw materials purchasing and inventory management in BSG Company, in order to make a compositive management for purchase order, actual inventory, and safety stock and materials consumption. It could ensure that there was an appropriate and lowest inventory amount, a correct and accurate materials forecast. This study included sales forecast, inventory plan, procedure control methods such as purchasing, and other analysis methods such as data collection, trend analysis, sensitivity analysis and cost analysis. What’s more, management methods of vendor management inventory (VMI) and information technique of enterprise resource plan (ERP) were discussed. The results are shown that the inventory management is improved obviously and the periodic inventory and safety stock decreases sharply, the inventory turns increases and the loss of inventory also decrease. Furthermore, the situation of cash flow in the company improves after the introduction of inventory improvement strategy.
