Based on the previous studies on industrial cluster and logistics, this thesis uses theoretical method and empirical method to analyze coupling correlation degree of port-vicinity industries and port logistics of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. It also gives some optimal advices on improving the future development of Ningbo and Zhoushan’s port-vicinity industries. On the one hand, the appearance of port-vicinity industrial clusters stimulates the fast development of port logistics. On the other hand, the rapid expansion of port logistics has promoted the efficiency of supply chain in industrial clusters.After reviewing some literature information, this thesis makes use of qualitative and quantitative research methods to analyze the current situations and coupling mechanism of port-vicinity industrial clusters and port logistics. And it makes some conclusions on that. On the basis of the existing grey relation degree model, this thesis selects appropriate indexes to form a model which aims at proving the coupling correlation degree of port-vicinity industrial clusters and port logistics. It uses time series data of eleven port-vicinity industrial clusters of Ningbo city and Zhoushan city over the periods2000-2010to prove the coupling correlation between port-vicinity industrial clusters and port logistics. And it advocates making some adjustments on the cooperation of those two sides in according to the ranking of coupling correlation degrees given by the quantitative research. Finally, this thesis makes some suggestions on the development of port-vicinity industry for Ningbo city and Zhoushan city from the perspective of industry coupling.
