Nowadays, whether the marketing management of a modem enterprise is successful or not largely depends on the smoothness and efficiency of the channel chosen. As all of the marketing activities are directly influenced by channel, every enterprise encounters a big topic to make a solution on how to establish, manage and maintain one perfect distribution channel system.Apparently, PC’s original attributes and the diversity of consumer preferences result in different distribution channels. Pushed by great expanding of market’s scale and potential consumers, not only does competition get more and more furious, but also PC’s profit is less and less. In addition, products, prices and promotion methods get more homogenous, which lead to decreasing of PC manufactures’marketing little by little. With this, distribution channel becomes no other than the overwhelming factor of competition. For PC manufactures, product makes them survive, while channel helps them grow up. Aimed at having more market share and earning more profits, PC manufactures are first things first supposed to adopt the best distribution channel model of all. However, which distribution channel is the most proper one to take is no easy to be decided on.Under such background mentioned above, PC Company A (abbrev. Company A) is made to be further analyzed and discussed about its distribution channel. Firstly, the theories of distribution channel are briefly introduced. Secondly, domestic distribution channel modes of PC industry are summarized detailed. Thirdly, the present situation of Company A’s channel is analyzed thoroughly. Based on the present problems Company A is facing, some effective proposals and specific measures are put forward, which is helpful for Company A to more adapt to the current market environment and the future market development.
