Research On A Framework Of IT Project Enterprise Risk Management

Development of information technology have tremendous impact on companies in various, more and more implementations of IT project have changed the rules of the industry game, IT can help companies to improve operational efficiency, to reduce costs, and continuously to explore new business opportunities. IT is an application of computer science and communications technology to the design, development, installation and implementation of information systems and application software. IT project is a systematic project with high complexity, high technological content and other features. The IT product is abstract, difficult to measure, and has high chronergy, which determine the high-risk of IT project. With the rapid development of IT industry, IT project become the increasing scale and increasing complexity, its risks are becoming more difficult to control, eventually leading to failure of enterprise IT projects. Therefore, in the case of the failure of IT projects frequently, the system, the ERM science is an urgent need. The introduction of ERM in IT projects is the use of ERM tools to reduce IT project uncertainty and the resulting losses, to ensure the smooth realization of enterprise IT projects.Referring to the research and application in the field of domestic and international theory and practice for risk management, project risk management and software project risk management, this paper introduces the latest achievements in risk management-ERM to IT projects, and conducted a preliminary study. I refer and introduce the ERM theory and practice of methods of domestic and international, taking into specific circumstances of the corporate IT project, and I do some research and trial practices in a ERM application in the IT project, hoping to bring some guidance and reference for IT project risk management. To sum up, the main jobs of this paper are as follows:First, do an in-depth and detailed theoretical study and integrated comparative analysis in risk management and the theory evolution of risk management.Second, do a detailed theoretical analysis in COSO framework, as the most important, influential framework in the development of ERM theory, and do some detailed discussion of the COSO framework, as also in the risk management in the relevant field,such as project risk management and software risk management. Third, on the basis of the first two points analysis the essence and core of a ERM, and build a ERM model for IT projects. Have a briefly described to explain the nine elements of the model, and make the planning and design of the main process and the content and objectives of these risk management activities.Fourth, established a mechanism for the specific application, made a preliminary inspection of the feasibility of risk management models, and proposed IT project risk management, measures in specific applications.
