Study On The Composition Of Cargo In Qingdao Container Terminal

As a revolution to the world’s cargo logistic, container logistic has adapted to the requirements of global economic integration, it has developed rapidly in the field of global logistic. With the rapid growth of the economy, foreign trade has constantly increased, and more than90percent of China’s foreign trade cargo had been handled through the port. The rapid growth of China’s container cargo had greatly promoted the development of container transport market.This paper takes Qingdao Port as the object. Firstly the paper takes an overview of Qingdao Port Container Terminal, the scope of the economic hinterland and types of containerized cargo, the relevant status of the collection and distribution system of at land and at sea. Secondly, the paper analysises the trend of status and development of Qingdao Port, it analysises the changes of foreign trade container volume of Qingdao Port in recent years and the competitive advantages of container transport of Qingdao Port. Thirdly, it tells the types of containerized cargo and the corresponding types of container and the method of determining number of containers.and explain how these different types of container affect the dock. Finally, according to the historical data of import and export container, we predict the number of its import and export goods in the future, thus guiding the infrastructure process of Qingdao Port and the handled stations.
