The processing trade and the ordinary trade belong to different trade Patterns, the former is the intra-product trade pattern and the latter is the traditional trade pattern, the intra-product trade and the traditional trade have great differences in international division, so it is concluded that they must have different impacts on economical growth. Under the background of international specialization of intra-product production and economic globalization, China takes processing trade as the main means of intra-product specialization. The rapid growth of the processing trade enhances the total trade and the GDP of China significantly, while many issues existed. We can have a right vision of the processing trade through comparing the different aspects on the economy growth of the processing trade and the ordinary trade, and whether we should enhance the development of the processing trade or not.On the basis of theoretical and empirical analysis, the paper uses some indicates as total export-import volume, total import volume and economic growth contribution to analyze such effect, from aspects of quantum and structure. The empirical results demonstrate that the processing trade has a greater contribution on the economic growth, but the gap is relative narrow which suggests that the processing trade still lies in a low level. From the aspect of economic growth contribution, the contribution of the general trade is not stable, shows positive and negative characteristics, while the processing trade shows a relative stable effect. In the aspect of structure, the processing trade have a greater influence on second industry and third industry. As the most important trade patterns of international trade, both processing trade and general trade have made a great contribution to the rapid and stable economic growth of China. We should cany out some policies to enhance processing trade and general trade to coordinate development, which will play a greater contribution to the economic growth. |
