Marxist Theory Of Distribution And Its Contemporary Value

The income distribution is an outstanding issue in the process of economictransition in China. Not only does the Marxist theory of distribution provide certaintheoretical guidance on the reform of China’s distribution system, but also on theestablishment and perfection of the market economy, as well as China’s economicdevelopment.Firstly, this paper describes the forming conditions of the Marxist theory ofdistribution. That is, the sharpened class contradiction in Europe in the early1860s,provided social conditions of Marx’s theory of distribution, and the cyclical outbreakof Europe’s economic crisis laid the economic foundation for Marx’s theory ofdistribution, Besides, the British utopian socialism, German classicism and theBritish and French utopian socialism provides theoretical conditions for theformation of the Marxist theory of distribution. Furthermore, the historicalachievement of Marx’s theory of distribution is followed by the interpretation andresearch of the connotations and characteristics of Marx’s theory of distribution.Secondly, this paper made a reseach on three main modes of distribution---distribution according to work, according to need and the factors of production.Lastly, this paper illustrates the inheritance and development of the ChineseCommunists to Marx’s theory of distribution, pointing out the epochal significance ofMarx’s theory of distribution. Guided by Marxist theory of distribution, methods tosolve the current problems of the field of distribution are raised.
