The Research On The Evaluation System Of The Star Grade Hotels’ Resource-conserving

The ear of cyclic economy has set new demand for tourism, especially for thedevelopment of the Star Grade Hotels that are the supporting industry of tourism.Therefore, the important measure is to build resource-conserving Star Grade Hotels tomeet the new demand and improve competitiveness. Making an evaluation of the StarGrade Hotels’ resource-conserving is a crucial procedure in the process of buildingresource-conserving hotels; and it is an urgent task to thrash out scientific,quantitative and practical conserving criteria for the Star Grade Hotels.First, this paper makes a review and summary of the theoretical research at homeand abroad in the background of the mentioning resource-conserving Star GradeHotels and related assessment. Second, it formulates Star Grade Hotelresource-conserving evaluation index system referring to the method of SystemEvaluating Indicator System and our country’s green hotel certification and enterpriseenergy-conserving index system, enterprise human resource management, resourcestrategy management and other related content. It is amended with Delphi Method.And formulating a model of Star Grade Hotel resource-conserving evaluation indexsystem from eighteen secondary indices and five aspects of reducing expenditure,energy conservation, human resource conservation, financial resources conservation,strategy resource conservation. Third, this paper confirms the index system and eachindex weight adopting Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, and internalreliability is tested.At last, stratified sampling method is adopted to select sample hotels and begininvestigate assessment and empirical test to those selected sample hotels In addition,the paper discusses various workable strategies from many perspectives like basicprinciples, exterior environment, keys and so on to strengthen the management ofnational energy-conserving Star Grade Hotels.Through study we find that Star Grade Hotels Resource-conserving EvaluationIndex should include following five aspects as reducing Expenditure, resourceconservation of manpower, finance, strategy and energy. What’s more, the energyconservation and the finance resource conservation are the most important factors;consumption reducing is the more important one; and the manpower conservation andstrategy resource conservation are less important ones. The evaluation system ofconserving resource in Star Grade Hotels has the characteristics of operating easily according to the status of hotel enterprises. This system not only reflects accuratelythe degree and level of resource conservation management of Star Grade Hotels, butalso widens consideration of hotels’ conservation management.
