Nowadays, the competition among different product and different brand has been evolving from traditional corporation competition to the supply chain competition, which has new properties such as cross-country and cross-culture. With the development and mature of supply chain, supply chain risk has the tendency towards more complicated, more extended and more diversified. Furthermore, supply chain risk of global supply chain in high-tech industry field is much higher than local chain in low-end industry. This dissertation defined Shanghai PTC Co. as the object company and studied the supply chain of its Special Lighting product which has very high supply risks inside and outside. How to effectively control and manage supply risks is TOP Must Do for the management team of this company.According to way of working in this dissertation, the process of supply risk management includes risk identification, risk evaluation and risk handling.Information collection is most important in risk identification. In this dissertation, I collected all problems and issues with regards to supply risk via face-to-face communication with all related persons. These problems or issues formed the supply risk sources.Risk evaluation is most important procedure in supply risk management. I utilized Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to calculate the weight for all risk issues and ranked from high risk to low risk. Then this dissertation used fishbone tool to analyze all risk factors for all critical risks from aspects People, Machine, Process, Environment. Then I used Multiple Linear Regression formula to describe the relationship between risk factor and supply chain risk. After these calculation and analysis, I set up the supply risk weight structure which provided the theoretical basis for risk management strategy definition.Risk handling is the core of risk management process. This dissertation made the conclusion how to define supply risk management strategy and solutions based upon the result of risk identification and the output of risk evaluation.This study provides Philips company the theoretical/practical method and measures for supply risk management, but also we may extent the way of this thesis to other companies and instruct them how to control and manage supply risk.
