Research On Relationship Between Workplace Fun And Organizational Citizenship Behavior

With the increasingly fierce competition, contemporary enterprises who want to stand out have to be able to bring all the staff’s work enthusiasm out, leading them to do not only the thing they should do, but also act out Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). To achieve this, it is imperative for the enterprises to take better incentive measures. Incentive measures nowadays however couldn’t be limited to material incentive means; staff’s spiritual needs should also be satisfied. One of the effective means to meet the staff’s spiritual needs is improving the fun of workplace circumstance.But at present, researches on outcome variables of workplace fun mainly focus on employees’satisfaction and service quality, etc. Empirical researches on the relationship between workplace fun and OCB are relatively less. This paper chooses OCB as the outcome variable, attitudes toward workplace fun as the moderator variable, and job satisfaction as the intervening variable. Basing on the data acquired through a survey, the internal mechanism of the relationship between workplace fun and OCB has been supported. Conclusions form this empirical research are:(1) Workplace fun has a direct positive influence on OCB.(2) Attitude toward workplace fun has remarkably regulated the relationship between workplace fun and OCB. This means that compared with a negative attitude to workplace fun, the relationship between workplace fun and OCB are much stronger to the ones who take a positive attitude.(3) Workplace fun has significant positive effect on job satisfaction. Meanwhile, job satisfaction has partly mediated the relationship between workplace fun and OCB.
