| With the high-speed development of global economy, it is frequently that more and more foreign people from the different countries work together for the same task or project as an intercultural team. Taking the global project management team as a typical intercultural teams’ example, this paper mainly discuss the intercultural management of such a team, in which members usually come from different countries with different culture background working in a multi-culture environment.As per attention for the theory and practice of cross culture management; refer to some experienced project managers, the paper brings out some key factors influencing the teamwork and makes analysis on the management factors and culture differences, and discusses the main challenges global project teams are facing during the intercultural management. Under the presence of Intercultural Management Model of Global Project Team, the paper suggests that how to cultivate the working concept in the mind and implement the management methods on the cross culture.The paper is divided into six chapters. In the first Chapter, the paper describes the related background, purpose, research method and structures. It points out the research’s content and targets as well. And it is the preparation for the next further discussion. Chapter Ⅱ defines the concept of teams, global project and cross culture management. Chapter Ⅲ introduces the design of research, interview outline and target selection of the research and makes the related implementation plan. Chapter Ⅳ analyzes the interview results and presents the details on management factors and culture conflicts, and discusses the main challenges global project teams are facing during the intercultural management. Chapter Ⅴ makes the suggestions on how to cultivate the concept and implement the methods of the cross culture management through Global Project Management Success Model. The last chapter makes the conclusion, also points out the limitation of the paper and the development of the study in the future. |
