With the development of globalization, cross-culture teams are everywhere. Unlikeother teams, cross-culture teams will experience cultural conflicts due to the differentcultural backgrounds. In the meantime, cultural differences will also bring versatility ofdecisions and outcomes. Hence, to analyze the elements which greatly influenceperformance and to suggest on how to improve team performances are the key points ofthe thesis.The thesis is based on observations and classic theories of the cross-culturalmanagement. With empirical research method, the thesis makes following achievements:To build hypotheses in the first round of the analysis on the factors, which influenceperformance of the cross-culture team. It then designs a questionnaire, collects thefeedbacks and analyzes the results to verify the co-relationship and ensures the correctdirection of the analysis.In the second round of the analysis, it digs into the factors found in the first round ofthe analysis and proposes more detailed questions. Applying the method of MarketSatisfaction Gap (hereinafter referred to as MSG), leadership under cross-culturebackground is found out to be the most correlated factor which influences the team’sperformance.With all the results and factors, some suggestions are made to improve theperformance. And ultimately, the thesis comes up with the model of effective leadershipunder cross-culture background. |
