The Schedule Management Application Study Of Agricultural Production Informatization Project

In recent years, with the increasing emphasis on Agricultural Science andTechnology by government, Agricultural Science and Technology have been puton a more prominent position in China, which emphasized that technology is thefundamental approach keeping the agricultural in the sustainable and stabledevelopment. At the same time, agriculture information is an importantcomponent of developing agriculture through science and technology.Although China has made an invigorating progress in agricultural informationtechnology, there is still a big gap between China and developed contrives inagricultural research and application compared with developed countries.Comparing with other general information system development, agriculturalmanagement system development has its own particularity; such as most userwithout good education background and poor work conditions, which cause theproject to be delayed frequently.According to the theory of project management, this article is focus onhow to implement project process management methodology in the referenceproject of Milk Production Safety Management Project, which studied andanalyzed the delayed reasons of the project and the difficulties of planfulfillment. Through the research of the project life cycle management,including plan making, tracking, monitoring and controlling etc., A ScheduleManagement Mode of Agricultural Production Management System ispresented.the author practiced the mode to unsure the project was implementedsuccessfully and on time. The mode have four modules:1. Plan MakingModules: Through the using of bottom-up algorithm when estimating the cost ofthe software development, making out a complete schedule plan for theAgricultural Production Management System, which dramatically increase the accuracy of the plan to90%percentage or above.2.Schedule Tracking Modules:Through the research on the management model and method of scheduletracking, innovatively combine the milestone tracking method with work unittracking,which was more suitable for agricultural management system.3.Schedule Monitoring Modules: Through the first use of the Earned ValueMethod in the Agricultural Production Management System, efficiently monitorthe process for this project, analysis and adopt a measure to correct the deviation,which again dramatically accelerate the project progress.4. ScheduleControlling Modules: Using the Critical Path Method to control the processreduced the effect of the changes to the minimum level as well as ensured theproject’s schedule.
