With the arrival of the era of knowledge economy, competition among the enterprisesmore and more displays for talent competition, especially for core talents’ competition.Core staff is the owner of the company’s core technology and key knowledge, is the sourceof promoting the core competition of enterprises, the loss of their often accompanied byenterprise benefit decline as well as the loss of the core technology and key knowledge.Therefore, too much loss of core employee is very bad for enterprises, especially for smalland medium-sized enterprise which is in the relatively inferior position in the talentcompetition. Small and medium-sized enterprise has an absolute advantage inQinhuangdao and plays a decisive role, the problem of core employee turnover has alwaysbeen a difficult problem which hinder the development of small and medium-sizedenterprise in Qinhuangdao. So, it is important to study the problem of core employeeturnover in Qinhuangdao small and medium-sized enterprises.Firstly, on the basis of analyzing and summarizing existing literatures aboutemployee turnover, combined with status and characteristics of core employee turnover inQinhuangdao small and medium-sized enterprises, constructed the turnover hypothesismodel of core employee in Qinhuangdao small and medium-sized enterprises and putforward the corresponding research hypothesis. Designing questionnaires and usingquestionnaire which is constituted by measuring scale to collect data.Secondly, it used SPSS18.0software and AMOS17.0software to empirical researchsample data. The results showed that: job satisfaction, organizational commitment andswitching cost significantly negative influence on the turnover intention; external workopportunity and exit-propensity significantly positive influence on the turnover intention;but in the aspects of influence degree, their order is exit-propensity, organizationalcommitment, external work opportunity, switching cost and job satisfaction; jobembeddedness regulates the relationships between independent variables and turnoverintention; turnover intention significantly positive influence on exit behavior, it is exitbehavior’s direct antecedent variable.Finally, according to the results of empirical research, combined with status and characteristics of core employee turnover in Qinhuangdao small and medium-sizedenterprises, it put forward control strategy of core employee turnover in Qinhuangdaosmall and medium-sized enterprises from two aspects which are turnover intention’santecedent variable and job embeddedness.
