A Research On The Development Strategy Of Tourismin Quanzhou On The Theory Of Low Carbon

During the Twelfth Five–Year Guideline, the global economy will step intoan important time. The sector of world tourism will also accelerate rapidly.After becoming a member of WTO, China got the fair opportunity to developour tourism as the other counties. This will bring a positive effect on thepolicy that we make the tourism as the strategic major industry of nationaleconomy.Quanzhou as the main three-tourism-city and key city of Minnan(south ofFujian) Binhai trade travel area in straits economic zone. Under the policywhich the State Department agreed to speed up the construction of straitseconomic zone, Quanzhou greatly develops the cultural tourism and Fujianand Taiwan tourism and builds the best tourism city in China. It will build the“Haixi” cultural tourism brand as the center and so that form the “Five-seaModel” of Quanzhou. And throughout the development of Quanzhou, it willcomprehensively advance energy-conservation and pollution-reduction andactively develop low-carbon circular economy.Under guidance of low-carbon concept, using the literature analysis,comparative analysis, practice research and interdisciplinary research, thispaper analyses the development of Quanzhou’s tourism, including the presentsituation of tourism resource in Quanzhou, model and direction ofdevelopment and advantage and disadvantage of development. Based on all ofthese, the paper will benefit from other scholar’s views on the development oflow-carbon tourism. It will give some constructive suggestions to thedevelopment of Quanzhou’s tourism from the perspectives on government,tourism business, general public, tourism products, attraction andenvironment and so on. These suggestions are, such as rapidly establishinglaws on Quanzhou’s tourism low-carbon construction, imposing carbon tax,sewage tax, pollution and other environmental resource tax, so thatstandardize and systematize the low-carbon tourism. It will well design the tourism products on food, accommodation, transport, travel, shopping andentertainment and build feasible carbon mechanism, valuation andidentification system. It will actively adopt new technologies and open virtualtravel and so on. Hope these policies can have a good effect on the economicdevelopment of Quanzhou’s tourism.
