A Study Of High-tech Industry Cluster Of Hubei Province And Its Influence On Regional Economy Growth

Industry cluster is an inevitable result during the development of industry. After years ofdevelopment, industry cluster has become a trend all over the world. Research andexperience show that there is a collection between regional economy and industry cluster.So a healthy development of industry cluster has become an important factor ofeconomic development. Because of economic globalization, how traditional economytransfored to a newly,technology-intensive economy is one of the most urgent thing inChina. Therefore, high-tech industry cluster is playing an important role in this situation.Hubei Province is in central China. Because of the particular location, it becomes one ofthe most important transport knot in China. And it is for sure that Hubei Province willbecome a enormous energy to help developing the economy of central China. Althoughthe economy of Hubei Province has been developed rapidly since1970’s, there is still abig gap between east China and Hubei because FDI showed much more interest in eastChina. Therefore, Hubei must choose their own developing way. Learning from theworld, industry cluster in Hubei Province has become a new strategy to improve theeconomy. So how to make high-tech industry cluster to drive the development ofeconomy in Hubei is the most important issue now.This paper started with the research of industry cluster in the world. After introduction ofindustry cluster, there comes the current situation of high-tech industry cluster in Hubei.Then, this paper tells the advantages and disadvantages of high-tech industry cluster ofHubei Province. In chapter4, after choosing the factors, the paper builds up a logarithmicmodel to prove that there is a collection between high-tech industry cluster and regionaleconomy. Finally, some useful suggestion have come out to help improving thedevelopment of economy in Hubei based on previous anlysis.
