A Study On The Crime And Failure Rules Of Chinese Private Tycoons And Countermeasures

Private Entrepreneurs are playing an important role in the economic development ofprivate enterprises and their growth experiences are increasingly receiving more attentions.Undoubtedly, some successful experiences of private entrepreneurs can serve as a guide tosome extent. But some failure experiences of private entrepreneurs can also lead us to alertour growth. In2011, some news about Huang Guangyu and Lan Shili in media isintriguing people interests in the failure of private tycoons once again, such as what leadsthem to put into jails, the similarities and differences among the growth of these privatetycoons. However, there is no enough answer to these questions in extant literature. So inorder to address this problem, this thesis focus on who are private tycoons who failed inthe last past ten years, the failure rule of these private stars who have been sentenced to theprison and what kind of behavior leads to their failure in business(e.g., biographycharacteristics and circumstances which they lived in). At the same time, this thesis tries tofind out their similarities in growth, their general failure route and common failuremechanism in using the technique of text-analysis. In the end, we also try to put forwardto some specific and constructive suggestions.This thesis is divided into five chapters. Chapter1, the Introduction, briefly tells ussomething about research background, extant research sketch, research significances, andoverall structure and so on. Chapter2is Literature Review. In this chapter, we will reviewsome extant studies in economy, sociology, management, which are relevant to the topic ofethical and criminal behavior. Chapter3, Data collection and Processing, will examine theprocedure of data collection and processing, the demography characteristic of privatetycoons who are chosen as a sample and typical model of crime-committing among theseprivate tycoons. Chapter4is Reasoning and Mechanism explaining. In this chapter, wewill not only analysis the reason why some ever-prominent private tycoons from twoaspects, direct reason (e.g., criminal behavior) and indirect reason (e.g., personalmotivation and context influence), but also explain how these private tycoons failed.Finally, in Chapter5, this study will set up management strategies of the failure in theseprivate tycoons, such as how to prevent this phenomenon happening, how to regulate some orders of market economy operation and how to lead a healthy growth of privateenterprise.
